The Golden Connection Childcare and Learning Center (GCCLC)

At The Golden Connection Childcare and Learning Center, our goal is to produce happy, intelligent, well-adjusted children.  Here you will find a nurturing, educational environment for children ages 1 to 12 years.

We recognize that every child has unique talent, learning styles, and personalities. Our highly qualified teachers, caregivers, and staff are committed to working within each child's comfort zone to ensure optimal social, emotional , and educational results.

OUR KIDS

We provide services to working mothers as well as students who have children and need care during the day. In our services we provide programs and activities that aimed at broadening the educational and development in the area of young children.

Toddler Program Ages (1-3)

Our toddlers are offered a variety of opportunities to explore their world through play.  Both motor skills and social skills are developed through both structured and unstructured play.

Preschool (Ages 4-5)

Although it may seem like fun and games to preschoolers, the curriculum we follow is packed with  educational elements.  They are many games that teach reading skills like phonemic awareness and letter and sound recognition, basic math concepts, and hands on science exploration.

Kindergarten (Ages 5-6)

Mirroring the state curriculum standards, the kindergartens focus on reading, early writing, and basic math.  social studies, science, art , music, and physical education are also included in the curriculum.  There are sporadic field trips during the year.

Elementary-After School (Ages 6-12)

School age children are given a quiet environment for homework and projects, with supervised access to computers and tutoring/assistance as needed.  Also, available to elementary students are crafts, games, snacks, and physical activities.
